TWO DAY WORKSHOP

This has been one of the most requested character classes I have offered.
- I will show you step by step how to draw good ol' Tom the Turkey.
- Building from basic shapes you will create this cool feathered friend with pencil and then ink and watercolor washes.
- It is a step by step process resulting in a fun painting you can frame and hang, or get copied and made into greeting cards for your friends and family.
(All materials are provided, however for those of you who own a Rapidograph pen, please feel free to bring that.
For those who don't know what the heck that is... no worries as I have plenty of pens.)
This is a 2 day workshop, so bring a light lunch or snack for each day and I will provide the bottled water and coffee and carbs.

INTRO TO IKEBANA
Thursday October 16th - 6:00PM - 8:00PM - $75.00
Slow down and create something beautiful through the mindful practice of Ikebana!
- You will learn step by step basics of this ancient Japanese art form, understand a bit of its' history and discover how this practice can bring beauty, focus and stillness to your everyday life.
- No prior experience is necessary
- I will provide all initial supplies and you will leave with a beautiful arrangement and materials so you can continue this practice at home.
(We will be running these classes on a regular basis in the early evenings also - so stay tuned!)

Join Judy Gilmer for a super fun seasonal abstract craft project for your home.
- Using acrylic paint and pre cut canvas you will design a banner/flag to hang at your home or even give as a gift!
- One side can be abstract - the other holiday themed for thanksgiving or Christmas, or whatever holiday is special for you.
- Judy will supply the canvas and the pole - you supply the creativity
Please bring your own acrylic paint. (If some other colors are needed I can supply some)

Bring your incomplete or problem pieces in for some help and suggestions.
- We tried this idea a few weeks ago and it was a success for all of us.
- I will help you figure out how to blow through whatever barriers you have in completing one or more watercolor and/or ink art pieces. If you are stuck, or feel you made some boo-boos that you don't know how to fix, I will help you.
- If you want just to come and practice your ink work or watercolor techniques this is a great space and time to do that too.
- Please bring your incomplete art - your own materials (paints, pencils, paper etc)
- I have water vessels, palettes etc so no need to bring those.

MAGICAL MUSHROOMS & FLAMBOYANT FUNGI

2 DAY WORKSHOP
FLAMBOYANT FUNGI
By request from my mushroom loving students, I am doing a 2 day workshop on Magical Mushrooms, Funny Fungi or whatever you want to call them.
I will show you how to create a very whimsical piece with lots of examples of different faces and expressions, shapes and sizes.
- We will begin with some sketching practice drawing various mushroom shapes and sizes.
- Then we will do a grouping of three mushroom characters, all with great personalities that YOU develop and then you can dress them however you want to.
- We will keep to the basics of building from simple shapes first, then fleshing out the characters, enhancing them in various clothing items and maybe even some shoes (yes mushrooms CAN have shoes!).
- Once penciled, we will ink, paint , paint and paint! (Patience and focus - great for the mind and soul!)

- Join Kiera in creating a free-flowing nature inspired floral.
- Using hand made Kozo paper, distressed oxide paints, iridescent glass beads and other special embellishments, you will create an almost sculptural canvas piece that is totally unique and stunning.
- These are beautiful soft pieces that are for sure tied to Mother Nature and will look awesome on any wall.

SALTY PALMS
Monday - November 3rd - 10:00 - 12:30 - $45.00
- Come and create a lovely lanky impressionistic palm tree.
- Using frisket and salt and painting in the wet on wet style, you will create this loose and airy palm tree grouping suitable for framing.
- I will take you step by step though the process and you will take home a great piece.
- (Due to the measurements of this there is no mat with this piece)
