JUDY GILMER: IT'S ALL ABOUT COLOR!

- Now's your chance! Learn all about color...from HOW to mix color - how to make luminous grays - and how to use a color wheel.
- I will show you all about color VALUES, what exactly are they and why are they important in your painting?
- You will gain enough knowledge to know how to make your colors "sing".
- You will make value and color charts so you will never have to guess again! Yay!
- Feel free to bring a photo or print or something with lots of colors or you may use one of my photos or printed material.

Poppies and Pals
Sunday March 23rd - 10:00 - 12:30 - $50.00
- By special request I am running this Sunday class for Poppies and Pals
- Poppies and Pals shown here is a tad bit different from the very loose Sloppy Poppies done in past classes.
- For this session we will use some pencil and after all is said and done we will go in and with a light hand do a bit of inking here and there.
- This piece also does require some glazing - (and patience) layering of wash on top of wash, which creates the 3D effect and roundness of the poppies.

- My poppy classes have become a favorite over the years and I think because it gives one the chance to really let go.

HANGING BASKETS
Monday March 31st - 10:00 - 12:30 - $45.00
- Let's keep things loose, a bit modern and draw, ink and paint some hanging baskets.
- In this class, I will show you, step by step, how to combine pencil, loose ink work with wet on wet and wet on dry to create a simple floral piece.
- I supply all materials including a mat so all you'll need is a frame to hang your creation!
- For those of you who have done classes with me before this is a nice change of pace - it will give you some new techniques and tools and offers you the opportunity to learn something you can easily practice at home.

5 BEAUTIFUL TREES - (3D Watercolor)
Monday April 7th - 10:00 - 1:00 - $55.00
This is a favorite class as it involves various techniques, yet it is pretty loose and freeing.
- Create a row of trees dressed in golds and orange, green hues and purples, using pencil, molding paste and spatula knives and sponge rollers.
- Oh and of course...frisket!
- In this class, I will show you, step by step, how to draw these trees and build up the foliage with some fun texture techniques, then wet on wet watercolor.
- I supply all materials including a mat so all you'll need is a frame to hang your creation!
- You are free to create 1 to 5 trees ( 3 is a nice number!) however many you are most comfortable doing.

BASIC WATERCOLOR FOR BEGINNERS
Monday April 14th - 10:00 - 12:30 - $45.00
- For those of you who have never drawn or painted or feel you have no talent to create - this class is for you!
- I will show you, step by step, how to work with just a few techniques that put you in the driver's seat and in charge of the paint!
- I supply all materials including a mat so all you'll need is a frame to hang your creation!
- If you enjoy the experience and think you might like to paint at home, what you learn in this class will give you some basics to have fun practicing.

At last! A much asked for class.
- Regardless of what medium you are using - texture is a great way to add interest, depth and dimension to your art piece.
- I will teach you how to use various different mediums to create implied and actual texture.
